I have read with interest your document relating your life with Basil Wainwright, although I'm not entirely convinced that this could be yet another scam set up by Basil himself to deflect form his activities in some twisted way. I knew Basil very well in the late 60's and early seventies both as a motor engineer and a drum student, I now make make my living as a professional musician, thanks to Basil who was an excellent jazz drummer at that time, I was one of the few people around at that time that was able to keep him at arms length, as I watched in amazement what happened to more unfortunate people that were lured into his web of intrigue.

It was all small time stuff at that time, and was fairy innocuous in comparison with some of the things that you have stated in your article, although people did get hurt ,bankrupted and conned but apart from taking a couple of punches from his victims, which was of no consequence considering the amount of money that was involved, he got away with everything, to this day I'm amazed that he's still alive as he messed with some really heavy people. Sadly Birmingham seems to breed these characters as I have had the misfortune to having had dealings with others whith the same mentality, although there will be only one Basil Wainwright.

You should understand why I am concerned that your article could have been written by Basil himself to provoke a reaction of liability for his bogus lawyers to sue, sorry if I appear to be paranoid but if you are genuine then will understand my train of thought

thanks for your article, it was very interesting.
